Addy
It’s almost too simple
Placing an ad to find the people who want to buy what you’re selling isn’t hard anymore. Now, with Addy, it’s simple. Suspiciously simple. We were asked to rethink and redesign the brand to showcase how it helps users find their audience through the most straight-forward ad buying marketplace. We delivered a playful, energetic, and a bit retro proposal that received immediate acceptance among staff and users.

The Challenge
To create a brand framework that conveys a human approach alongside clarity, attainability, honesty, and empowerment. Also to highlight the unique possibility of accessing the advertising market with a set of simple and straightforward solutions, while creating an empathic brand, full of charisma and personality.
What we did
We were inspired by old-school sales visuals such as handmade car sale signs, and advertisements for mattresses stores. Comic-style emanatas, nittles, & hites helped us to highlight valuable information, and a set of vibrant yet warm colors set the tone of the communications. The wordmark logo modernizes the essence of old-school advertising and handcrafted signs — as well as the custom font that we created specifically for this case, featuring the texture of wet paint and Sharpie markers on glass. The illustration style is fun, honest, and —a bit— exaggerated.
