Uma is a mixed-use development project located just one minute from Zihuatanejo Airport, facing the sapphire blue of the Pacific Ocean. It is comprised of residential units, a hotel, a golf course, and a private beach — becoming a sanctuary for those seeking an escape, and thirsty to discover an experience beyond the ordinary. We carefully crafted the project's brand identity, including digital and print communications.

The Challenge
The challenge consisted of blending both the luxury and comfort of the resort with Zihuatanejo’s local culture in a brand capable of looking natural and enjoyable. Also, to give the developers the ability to sell the project’s features and aura while still in its initial stage, before beginning construction.
What we did
To address the initial challenge, we focused our development on highlighting the natural and cultural treasures of Zihuatanejo — including photo research of activities, natural landscapes, and people. In regards to the brand's visual system, we crafted a symbol based on the natural scenery in which the resort is located — the convergence of two rivers and a beach, all framed by the forest. A set of greens, browns, and natural tones serve as the color palette, paired with a neutral typographic approach.
