The Challenge
To showcase the project’s unique features — it is the only resort that offers over 1km beachfront, the only Duty-free shop outside an airport, and it offers a promenade featuring 15 international restaurants, cafes, bars, spa, sauna, 2500 SQM convention center, and a Nikki Beach Club.
What we did
We’ve been inspired by Sri Lankan — formerly Ceylonese — culture to create the visual system. The Raaksha masks' shape and colors, the landscapes, sadikka, turmeric, and gam miris, among other spices and natural elements, set the overall tone for the color palette and brand imagery. The traditional Dusit Thani’s logo was slightly modified to improve the font styles and spacing of the descriptor and location while establishing a better relationship with the logotype.
In order to simultaneously show the environment, natural offerings, and development opportunities, we created a layout system that brings together 3 photographs from different origins. With the objective of highlighting the treasures that Sri Lanka has to offer, we created a set of expressive imagery based on old-fashioned illustrations of animals, wildflowers, and plants, to represent both water and forest life.
